Mid-point Reflection

My Intership have not been different from my expectations. I expected to be given a computer, a desk, I expected to work with many other teens and it all happened. Comparing to my school is quite the same, especially with having many people from different background. There are from many different places: we have Africans writers, Polish writer, Spanish writers, Asian and American writers. I can say that I've grown regarding working with professional adults. I know how to work with them and how to behave in professional manners. I think I also gained a little of non-verbal communication skills. Some challenges that I overcome is that I began to get distracted and bored easily so what I did is that I brought my cell phone with me so I can listen to music while working, it really helps me stay focus and I get a lot more work done this way.
Because of my new shcedule, I began to miss a lot of school work especially Homeworks. In the reamaining five weeks, my goals is to fininish all the stories that I am writing.
Some new thing that I learn about New York City is that, it is the land of opportunity for real!

Week three

=So many things are happening as the days pass. Two periods a day of classes, then you're off to the cafeteria for a delicious and hearty lunch, a little socializing with your friends, and a few "I'll see you tomorrows". Then you're on your way to the train or bus so that you can do your thing: Intern, assist, help out, learn.

For today's post, your job is to describe as many internship tasks as you can. Since you began three Mondays back, what have you been doing? Paint a picture of a typical day in the life of an intern. What are you doing from the time you start until the time you leave? Are you working alone or with a group of people? Who are you working with? In what kind of space are you working?

Turn your description into a short story, diary, or journal entry that creates a picture of the life of you, a high school intern.

Use your journal entries from each day to make your story more interesting and full of details.

I do not have a lot of task at my internship, the only things I do is write stories for the magazin and sometime I go out and interview people. During the day all I do is sit behind a computer and type, nothing else. Sometime I find it very boring and sometime I don't. From 1, my starting time, to 5:00 pm, ending time, all I do is sitting behind a computer typing or dicuss topics with other members in the conference room. I spend 95 percent of my time typing.I work with a lot of other students from different borought of New York and different school.
